Strangely, she fails to mention who exactly is supposed to replace the people running the government. Fordham Law School Professor Zephyr Teachout has released a video for The Gravel Institute titled, “Capitalism vs. Freedom.” In it, she argues that capitalism results in ruthless monopolies that mercilessly dictate the lives of every person within the economy. However, like every other critic of capitalism, she conflates voluntary transactions in the free market with government regulations, then advocates greater power for government to fix the problems that the government caused.

Dave Cullen, of the YouTube channel Computing Forever, recently published a video titled “Start Your Own Planet!” In it, it appears that Dave is seeking to prove that the free market is insufficient to protect us from private monopolies that may one day leave us destitute and unable to obtain the necessities of life. However, like all those that speak out against private monopolies, Dave has neglected the fact that these monopolies only have the power they do because of government in the first place. Giving more power to government can only make the problem worse.

For this super collaboration, I’m joined by Nightshift10000 and MAG. The question is often asked as to how a libertarian, anarcho-capitalist society would differentiate between children and adults without state enforced, legal age laws. In this video, we discuss how cultures, both ancient and modern, have utilized rites of passage to make this distinction. I contend that recognizing adulthood on the basis of such rites as providing for one’s self and leaving the parents’ household would be far superior arbitrary age based laws.

While sovereign citizens are correct in their assessment that the state is inherently illegitimate, their efforts to assert their sovereignty through legal loopholes and appeals to the founding documents of the United States are unlikely to effect real change in the long run.
